Nadia is the creator of DanceMedicine, a way to enable participants to move through trauma using her somatic intervention with dance. She offers both workshops and private sessions. Her work is a synthesis of her varied skills and a 20-year+ Somatic journey.

She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), a registered practitioner of Biodynamic Cranosacral Therapy (RCST) and also has completed the three-year training program in Pre- and Perinatal therapy with Ray Castellino.

Nadia has authored: a memoir, Stairway to Paradise: Growing Up Gershwin; and two cookbooks, Blue Heron Ranch Cookbook and Zafu Kitchen: Recipe and Stories from Blue Heron Zen Center where Nadia and her husband, Enrico, offer retreats.

She received a master degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Hunter College in New York City, and another MA in clinical psychotherapy from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, specializing in trauma resolutions through somatic work.
